2022 Frontier Drive-Inn Opening Celebration

On July 9th, 2022, after being shuttered for over four decades, the Frontier-Drive-Inn located outside of Center, Colorado in the San Luis Valley, reopened as a reimagined hospitality destination and outdoor theater. Collaborating with a local food and revitalization focused group of citizens, The Dish SLV and the Town of Center, the Frontier hosted a celebratory opening event. The day included a region-wide culinary competition, with a green chile cook-off, judged by a panel of culinary experts from across Colorado. The day included local vendors of food and crafts as well as carnival games, a performance by The Salida Circus, live music by Los Narwhals (Denver) and Lowmello (Albuquerque), and the first public screening of a film at the Frontier in over 40 years.
